1Getting Started
How does AI Labs Talent work?
It's simple: tell us what you need (skills, timeline, budget), we match you with pre-vetted engineers from our AI Labs training program, you start with a 2-week risk-free trial. If it works, keep going. If not, money back or replacement.
How fast can you match me with an engineer?
Typically 48 hours to a week. We have a pool of pre-vetted engineers ready to go. For specialized requirements, it might take longer, but we'll always be upfront about realistic timelines.
What makes your engineers different?
They come from AI Labs - they learned vibe coding from us. We test them on actual tool workflows (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf), not generic coding tests. They're not claiming AI skills - they're demonstrating them.
Do you have a minimum commitment?
No. No 12-month contracts like some competitors. No $50K minimums. Start with 10 hours a week if you want. Scale up or down based on your needs. The flexibility is a feature.
2Pricing & Payment
What's included in the hourly rate?
For Managed ($50-60/hr): engineer + PM + tracking + training + trial + guarantee. For Connected ($35-40/hr): engineer + monitoring + trial + guarantee. No hidden fees.
How does billing work?
Larger clients get monthly invoices. Smaller engagements are billed biweekly. We accept bank transfer, credit card (Stripe), and PayPal. 35% deposit to start (credited to first invoice).
Why is Connected cheaper than Managed?
No PM overhead. You're getting the same quality engineer, but without the account management layer. Great if you're technical and can manage directly. The engineer is senior and self-directing.
Can I switch between models?
Yes. Start with Connected and add PM later? No problem. Switch from Managed to Placement? We can do that. We'll find what works for you.
3Quality & Vetting
How do you vet engineers for AI skills?
We don't use generic coding tests. Our engineers come from AI Labs training. We test them on actual tool workflows - can they efficiently use Claude Code? Can they vibe code with Cursor? If they can't demonstrate proficiency, they don't get placed.
What if the engineer doesn't work out?
2-week risk-free trial on all models. If it's not working - for any reason - we either refund you fully or swap in someone else. No questions asked. After that, 2-week rolling arrangement - you're never locked in.
Do your engineers speak English well?
Yes. Communication is part of our vetting. Our engineers are fluent in English and comfortable in async/remote work environments. Many have worked with US/UK clients before.
What tech stacks do your engineers know?
Primarily modern web stacks - React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, TypeScript. Plus AI-native tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf) and integrations (APIs, databases, cloud). Tell us what you need.
4Working With Us
What's the difference between Managed and Connected?
Managed ($50-60/hr) includes a PM who handles communication, reviews work, and keeps things on track. Connected ($35-40/hr) is just the engineer working directly with you. Choose Managed for hands-off, Connected if you prefer direct communication.
What timezone do your engineers work in?
Most are in Pakistan (GMT+5) but flexible on hours. Many work US-overlapping hours. For Managed engagements, we track 8-hour workdays with screen sharing available.
How do you handle communication?
However you prefer - Slack, Discord, Google Chat, email. For Managed, your PM is your single point of contact. For Connected, you communicate directly with your engineer.
What about ongoing training?
Engineers in Managed and Placement models get ongoing free training through AI Labs. Monthly sessions on Claude Code updates, Cursor features, new AI tools. They stay current so you get current skills.
5Legal & Security
Who owns the code?
You do. 100%. All work product belongs to you. Standard IP assignment is in every contract. Your code is your code.
Do you have NDAs?
Yes, standard NDA included in every engagement. Your business stays confidential. We can also sign your NDA if you prefer.
What about the placement model - are there restrictions?
For Placement ($5,500), there's a 24-month non-circumvention clause. Meaning you hire through us, not around us. Standard industry practice to protect the relationship.
6Support & Guarantees
What happens if I need to scale up?
Tell us. We can usually add engineers within a week. Same vetting, same quality. Many clients start with one and add more as projects grow.
What if I need to pause or stop?
2-week notice for ongoing engagements. No penalties, no questions. We understand business needs change. You can always come back later.
Do you offer discounts?
10% off for annual commitment (12-month prepaid). 5-10% off for multiple engineers (3+). 5% off for AI Labs community members. Discounts can stack.
